 Great question, I would say. Definitely, this will  depend solely on the artist doing the work. Therefore, the art proposal made by the artist is essential and we can see that by studying the listings where these services are offered.

 

What we see in the listings should give us an exact idea of what we will get and what we should demand. Even so, it can be a problem to imagine what our photo would look like converted into that art and hung on a wall that we want. Anyone who is thinking of commissioning a portrait must make an effort of imagination. 

What I do is develop the art that they ask of me, adjusting to the main image of the listing with which the work was ordered. The client has the possibility of making suggestions to me when placing the order, such as the predominant color in the background or highlighting a gesture, for example.
